This chapter was formed in March 1969 as the LaHarpe Chapter, later moving to Colony, and now to Iola.  Early members included Jim McCormick, Carl Beaty, Mr. Hand, and Loyal Fulton.  Most of these people transferred from the Blue Mound Chapter.  Marvin and Doris Gough helped establish this chapter.
