Admission is free.
Memberships are available for the nominal fee of $12/yr and a reduced fee of
$1/yr for
sponsored children. Included with the membership is a regular monthly newsletter. Originally known as the Tecumseh Chapter, this was the birthplace of the Kansas Oldtime Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers (KOFPS) in September 1965. Early members included Amos Chase, Eldon Ray, Glen Woolaway, Bud Grant, “Banjo” Bob Simpson, Elmer, Junior, and Jack Essman, Neita Bahnmaier, Vernon and Iona Spencer, Ben Drake (from Nebraska), and Howard Morgan. About 40 years later, Glenn Woolaway, Neita Bahnmaier, Eldon Ray and Jack Essman continue to entertain. Neita Bahnmaier retired as chapter secretary at the end of 2005 after 25 years. |
