Spring Hill Chapter was formed in October 2005.

This is the story of how the Spring Hill Chapter came to be!

Gary Bickelmeyer’s sister and her husband owned Danny’s Restaurant in Spring Hill. Gary thought it would be a good thing to start a “Jam” there since they had a large adjoining area besides the regular dining room. It was a success, and after growing for about two years quite a large group of faithful performers and listeners were gathering. When the restaurant sold, the jam needed a new place to meet, so Gary suggested to Julie Joeckel that perhaps she could find a place and start a KOFP&S Chapter since Spring Hill was Julie’s hometown.

Julie received some encouragement from several others to continue this pursuit, but of course, the application and details were up to Julie to complete. After applying for a chapter, it was approved and the Civic Center was gracious to allow the new chapter to meet in the senior dining area, a nice large room.

We had our first meeting in October 2005 and it has been a great chapter where everyone joins in to do some piece of work. We know that Gary’s “Jam” and Julie’s “Vision” are the reason this all came to be! There are many that are very thankful to them and since our members appreciate what’s been done for them, they all pitch in to do whatever is needed to keep it going so everyone can really enjoy the event. Guests and regular listeners, Spring Hill’s performers, guest performers, and other chapter’s performers all love being here; it’s an enjoyable event for all.  People say that they feel like family at a Spring Hill gathering!  We also have a "Jam" on the 4th Friday of the month.
